As Promised.

Sunday, a husky and the piano.

Style to Enjoy.

I cannot think of anyone more wickedly styled than Agyness Deyn. She's an absolute style icon and I adore her.
I've been so addicted to pinterest lately. I think mainly because it inspires me so much. It's this virtual pinboard that you can pin an endless amount of things you love onto. Whenever I'm lacking in inspiration eg. what to wear, I go onto my pinterest and it really is a lovely go to.

Perfect Time & Place.

Today at work I was down by the water at the viaduct for a shoot.
While sussing out the areas we were filming amongst, I came across the most magical part of my day.

It was in an abandoned-esque shelter...where an old wooden piano was just sitting there.
Completely in tune and casually perfect.
 Just sitting right there.
By its self.
Covered in grafitti and looking absoeffinglutely lovely.

Whilst the crew were getting ready I played the keys and it made me completely happy.
I plan to go back there this weekend in all hope that it lives there and I will take a photo to document its lovliness for myself and for you.

But for now it looked a little something like this...

If you're an Aucklander reading this, go find it.

Don't try to be Creative.

This is quite potentially my favorite video I've seen in a while.
I find it absolutely, adorably hilarious.
It truly saturated my mind with thoughts. I love it.
At the base it is just blatantly entertaining.
Although beware, it may not be your thing,
but it's definitely mine.

Honestly Courtney.

I've just discovered someone a tad-a lot inspiring. I love it enough as it is when I find out that a blogger I love is a kiwi, but now to find a person who I see everyday with a wonderfully lovely documentation of all things herself is just delightful.

I also have one friend who I admire similiarily because she is so delightfully honest about her life-the shitty parts and the lovely parts.

It's wickedly easy (and i mean that in the evil sense) to get caught up with a chosen image of yourself (facebook being a massive culprit), so it's so refreshing to hear and read about people who play life as it is, not a game, just as it is.

If you are understanding what I mean in this post in any way, visit these two Courtneys.

The first is my very own best friend who has an honest broken heart  and the later is the one who I started this post off about with.

Visiting Halfway.

This is for you to get lost in if you're in the mood to get lost. It's about an adventure.
Halfway.
2012
by Overture
music: Rayons

 It's called Halfway animation.
I've also been playing it with this in the background.

Purpose.

I adore this guy and this video.
Winner of the Experimental category of the Vimeo awards for this short film Oops. It's a 10 min video of other peoples videos of people dropping their cameras.
Chris is fascinated with unseen videos, people recording one day moments of everyday lives.
The massive amount of throw away videos is endlessly captivating and he gets a unique thrill in clicking on a video with 15 views and a weird thumbnail.
Oops is about contextualising those genuine and real glimpses of life.

It's also funny when people drop their cameras.

Everyone would agree that now is a great time to be someone who makes things-a film maker especially, with the internet and its abundance of info and help online and venue for work to be seen and technology being very accessible, it should be a great motivator for people to try things, explore ideas that may or may not work out, do things that aren't directly related to the way things are meant to be done.-Chris

Monday message.

Somehow, for no apparent reason, I've found myself watching a whole heap of videos/short films/animations about pollution.
I came across this one that I quite instantly fell in love with.
It has the obvious message of pollution and the damage it does to nature, but it also is wonderfully entertaining and I literally cracked up at my work desk during the last few seconds. Well worth sharing. Happy Monday morning :)

Riding with Vintage.

I'm completely jealous of this little project a favorite blogger of mine Calvintage has just completed. I deeply want to go riding on the Wellington wharf, try to ride with my hands in the air and document every outfit change. Her outfits are so delightfully adorable. She is quite possibly my favorite fashion blogger. There is surprisingly a lot of girls on bikes here in Auckland which gets me delightfully excited. I'm rather or more very in love with these public bikes which is what Calvintage is riding in her project. If only I could afford such a one. I'm going to collect bikes I've decided. And that is all for now my lovely creatures...

Lovliness in Ugliness.

I love this. It brings awesomeness to ugliness. Which is a good thing. When I get big and strong and own a lovely abode of my own, I want to have a small farmlet. I don't want to be a vegeterian but I do want to be sustainable. And the only way i know how to do that is to go a little bit backwards.

 Watch.
It's called 'The Scientist' by William Nelson
In flawlessly creative animation, it tells of the story of a small farmer who slowly converted his family farm to an industrial animal factory before seeing the errors of his ways, and discovering a more sustainable future.Ah life...
